Schrock Bros Band with Peter Madcat Ruth - Great Blues
The Schrock Bros Band is a Michigan based Americana/ blues ensemble that features soulful lead vocals, family harmony, and solid musicianship. The Schrock Bros perform original music peppered with a collection of nuggets from the Americana archives. Over the past 10 years the quintet has performed at a multitude of festivals, concerts, clubs, and special events. In June of 2023 they released their first full-length recording entitled ‘Faith In Love’ to the delight of their longtime fans and new converts.

They will be joined in this special concert by Grammy award winning Peter Madcat Ruth. Madcat has established an international reputation through his exhilarating, riveting virtuosity on the harmonica. He is equally at home playing blues, folk, jazz, country, or rock and roll. Madcat also leads his own Ann Arbor based project, the CARMa Quartet.
Shark Day
Come to the library for a fun-filled open house event all about sharks. Learn about sharks and some of the science behind how they function. Dr. B and volunteers will help you enjoy a variety of interactive and educational shark-themed activities, demonstrations, crafts, and more that will be spread throughout the library as you learn about the history, biology, and ecology of sharks.

This is an open-house style event open to the public.
Stories in the Garden
Explore the MSU 4-H Children's Garden and listen to stories as you do. Teen volunteers and library staff will share stories with garden visitors. Great for kids from 0 to 100!

Stories in the Garden is a partnership between the East Lansing Public Library and the Michigan 4-H Children’s Gardens. Interested teen readers should contact our teen librarian Storm.

This program is outdoors and weather dependent - if the weather is stormy, we will reschedule for another day.
